Understanding Drinks Pallet Quantities

A pallet is a handling unit, not a universal product quantity. Confirm the case count for the exact drink and packaging in your quotation.

Why case counts differ

Can size, bottle size, units per case, outer packaging, pallet dimensions and stacking arrangement affect the number of cases in a load. A configuration used for one drink should not be applied automatically to another.

Calculate the product quantity

Multiply cases per pallet by units per case to calculate the units on that pallet. For example, an illustrative configuration of 100 cases containing 24 cans gives 2,400 cans. This is a calculation example, not a TRIMAYU stock specification.

What to ask for

  • Units per case and cases per pallet.
  • Total product units in the quoted order.
  • Pallet dimensions, loaded height and gross weight where needed for handling.
  • Whether the quantity is one product or a confirmed mixed configuration.
  • Unloading requirements at the receiving site.

Comparing quotations

Compare the same product, case format and total unit count, then include freight and applicable taxes. A lower case price may not represent a lower delivered cost when pack sizes differ.
