Preparing for a Drinks Pallet Delivery
Accurate receiving information helps prevent avoidable delivery problems. Check the site, equipment and booking requirements before transport is arranged.
Confirm access
Provide the full address and identify vehicle size restrictions, narrow approaches, height limits or site-entry rules. The carrier needs an appropriate place to stop and unload.
Identify unloading arrangements
Confirm whether the premises have a suitable loading dock or forklift and a trained person to receive the load. If unloading assistance is needed, have it agreed in the quotation rather than assumed.
Prepare the receiving team
- Confirm receiving hours and any delivery appointment.
- Nominate a reachable site contact.
- Prepare space to receive and check the goods.
- Keep the order and delivery details available.
- Record visible damage or quantity discrepancies at receipt.
Keep the supplier informed
Tell the supplier promptly if access, opening hours or receiving arrangements change before dispatch. Revised requirements may affect the transport plan.
